Kalgoorlie Baseball Club junior cap c.1960
A dark blue, woollen baseball cap with the letter 'K' embroidered in white thread on the front of the crown. The top button is covered in the same blue fabric. Inside, the cap is lined with black cotton fabric and has a name tag attached.
Baseball in the Goldfields in Western Australia started in the 1930s and went through periods of decline and revival over many decades.
This cap, with 'K' for Kalgoorlie Baseball Club embroidered on the crown, was worn by junior team member David Fraser, c.1960, when he was aged 11. His older brother Wallace was also a team member and their mother Doreen was the club scorer.

The baseball cap was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by David Fraser.
This baseball cap is a rare and historic item of baseball memorabilia from the Goldfields region in Western Australia. The item's provenance comes from its donor, who was a member of the 'Kalgoorlie Baseball Club' junior team in the 1960s.
