Overview

A navy-blue woollen warm-up jacket with two white stripes around the waistband, sleeve cuffs and neck opening. There is a full-length zip to the front opening and two side pockets with zips. Stitched onto the left breast of the jacket is the Kalgoorlie Baseball Club badge in the shape of a white baseball with navy-blue threads depicting the stitched seams on the ball. Also embroidered in blue thread is a stylised letter 'K' in the centre, 'Kalgoorlie' at the top and 'Baseball Club' at the bottom.

Historical information

This warm-up jacket was part of the uniform of the Kalgoorlie Baseball Club, which played in the Goldfields Baseball League. It was worn by Kalgoorlie Club players in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Contextual Information

The jacket belonged to Kalgoorlie Baseball Club player David Fraser, who donated it to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives. It is a rare addition to the Museum's baseball uniform collection.
