c. 1960Behind double glass doors with long metal handles and inscribed with [GLASS DOORS /BY/ W.DRABBLE LTD.] and [BUILDING/PLUMBING/SUPPLIES] is 'Bluey' Marks, in dark suit and bow tie, looking at a book held by Alex Prior, in suit and with brief bag at his feet. Little display but much shelving for stock required by tradesmen. Roof beams of original shed overhead.
Trade section was developed in Drabbles' old storage/work 'sheds' in Leura Avenue and opened earlier than the shop in Bay View Terrace for the convenience of tradesmen.
