Overview

A two seater, soft top car with rumble rear, dicky seat, and wire wheels. Spare wheel attached to side of car. Two women and and a child in the car parked on the beach.

Historical information

Documents on the car are held by the museum. Licensed as a 'Brown Ford Roadster' in the name of Herbert Schorer, 4 Brown Street, Claremont. Herbert Charles Schorer trained at the Manual Arts Centre in grounds of Claremont Teachers College. Taught at Perth Boys School, Fremantle Boys School, Bindoon Boys Town, and Clontarf. Taught at Claremont Manual Arts Centre. POW in Germany during World War II. After retiring from the Education Department, taught at Wesley College, part-time, opened Manual Arts Centre at Collie, foundation teacher there. Member of the College of Handcrafts, England. Married Mabel Kate Mears in Narrogin in 1925.
