Documents on car held by museum Licenced as 'Brown Ford roadster' in the name of Herbert Schorer, 4 Brown Street Claremont. Herbert Charles Schorer trained at the Manual Arts Centre in grounds of Claremont Teachers' College. Taught at Perth Boys School, Fremantle Boys School, Bindoon Boys Town, and Clontarf. Taught at Claremont Manual Arts Centre. POW in Germany during World War II. After retiring from the Education Dept, taught at Wesley College, part-time, opened Manual Arts Centre at Collie, foundation teacher there. Member of College of Handcrafts, England. Married Mabel Kate Mears in Narrogin in 1925.
