TAPE LACE, MATS,EDGING
1990Bobbin lace created by former W.A. Guild President, Kay MacFarlane, a creative lady, a beautiful embroiderer and patchworker. These lace pieces, showcase the extent of Kay’s creative handcraft abilities in second half of 20th C.
a. Tape made with lace bobbins and then formed into a looped scrolling design oval shaped mat.
b. A scalloped bobbin lace edging for an oval mat. On inner edge the connecting brides are plaited rather than twisted.
