1987 Western Australian State Under-18s baseball warm-up jacket
c. 1987A 1987 West Australian Junior Baseball League Under-18s State team warm-up jacket. Size 40 (100cm), it is black with yellow sleeves and shoulders and a full-length front zip. Embroidered in yellow thread on the jacket front are the year date and name of the team. Handwritten on the inside lining is the surname and playing number of the player who wore it. A manufacturer's label is attached inside the collar.
The 1987 Australian under-18 baseball championship was held in Syndey, New South Wales at Oriole Park in Auburn, from January 3rd to the 15th.
This warm-up jacket belonged to pitcher Dean Moyle, player No.24 in the Western Australian state team.

A member of the Moyle family baseball dynasty, Dean Moyle's involvement in baseball started with T-ball and progressed through the junior and senior ranks of the Western Australian state leagues. He also played in the Australian professional baseball league with the 'WA Brewers' and 'Perth Heat'.
The warm-up jacket was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Graham Johnson.
The image of Dean Moyle was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the Moyle family.
This jacket, in good condition, is part of a 1987 Under-18 State baseball uniform and has historic and social significance in the story of junior baseball in Western Australia.
