Historical information

This aerial view showing Baseball Park within Tom Bateman Reserve in the City of Gosnells, was provided to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by former Gosnells Mayor Patricia Morris AM, JP. Her initial involvement with Baseball Park was with the Tom Bateman Reserve Management Committee within the City Council. The Committee's original contact with Baseball WA was regarding the opportunity for a permanent home ground for Baseball WA. Contact within Baseball WA was with Damian O'Donnell for a short time, then with Rod Byrne the President and Shane Tonkin, who worked with the Council until the ground works were undertaken and the ball park completed. Baseball Park was opened in 2004.
