Miss Gerke in shadow on left, Mr McLaren in apron with bib, hammer tucked into apron strings, Charlie Rogers in background and Frank Rogers, similarly dressed in shirt, tie, pullover and long grocer's apron, with hand on verandah post. Shop on other corner of Reserve Street in background. Print contained in grey card [KODAK ENLARGEMENT] folder embossed with snakeskin effect.

Historical information

The Rogers' family association with grocery stores commenced with brothers Francis and Bert in a store in Boulder. Francis and another brother, Edward, took over the grocery shop on the corner of Claremont Avenue (Stirling Highway) and Reserve Street Claremont in 1912.
