1926 - 1938Steel blade widest at the handle end tapering to a narrow flat point at the tip with coarse teeth on the lower straight edge.
Has a wooden handle fixed by five bolts and a manufacturers emblem on one side.
Tools used by Charles Duncan in his Blacksmith and Wheelright shop. The shop was called Duncan & McNamee and was located on the corner of Jull Street and Third Road. It was open from 1926-1938.
Disston is a Canadian saw company founded in 1840 by Henry Disston. It has been known as Disston Saw Works, Keystone Saw works and Henry Disston & Sons Inc. The successor company Disston Precision is still operational.

This object is part of a collection that represents the commercial history of the City of Armadale.
