Japan Team baseball cap
A Japan Baseball Team cap made of black material on the crown and peak. Embroidered in white thread on the front of the crown are the letters JPN. There are eight rows of stitching across the peak, which is lined with green fabric. Inside, the cap is lined with nylon fabric.
It is difficult to know which era this Japanese baseball cap is from. It was donated to the Baseball WA Museum and Archives by Ken Smith (West Australian Baseball League and Australian Baseball League umpire), who umpired at three international championships where the Japan team competed. The competitions were the1985 Asian Series, the 1986 Festival of Sport International Baseball Tournament and the 1993 Asian Baseball Championship series. All three international baseball championships were held at Parry Field in Perth, Western Australia.
