PLATE: WEMBLEY WARE, WESTERN AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT RAILWAY

Overview

Cream glazed round entree plate with a thick maroon stripe and a thinner blue stripe around edge, and a blue coat of arms surrounded by a banner containing the words ' NO. 11 - SOIT - QUI - MAL - Y - PENSE' (?) and surmounted by a crown. Beneath is a black swan and underneath that is a stylised ribbon containing the words "Western Australian Government Railway". There is a depression in the centre of the plate. The plate has been made by jollying and has been fired on stilts of which three marks can be seen on the reverse. It has a round foot.

Base: On the reverse is a crown with 'WEMBLEY - QUALITY WARE - ' in the circle under it, and a stylised 'WB' in the centre in black.
