Wembley Ware

Wembley Ware Collection

Overview

Yellow Wembley Ware jug. Probably adapted from an electric jug shape. Two sides have a proud three pronged pattern. The handle is on the angle between the third and fourth sides and forms part of the square.

Base: The foot is unglazed. Impressed heavily into the base is 'WEMBLEY WARE' in a circle with '30' in the centre. In one corner of the base is either an 'M' or a '3'. There is a small glaze crawl mark just inside the rim. There is some glaze crackle on the inside and base of the jug.
