A photograph of the 1974 Western Australian senior baseball team taken prior to their departure from Perth Airport to compete in the Australian Baseball Championship Claxton Shield Series in Melbourne, Victoria. The black and white photo is mounted on beige-coloured cardboard and was presented by the TAA airline in a blond-wood frame. Below the photograph is a hand-written caption in black print.

Historical information

The 1974 Claxton Shield was the 35th annual Claxton Shield Championship; an Australian baseball tournament. It was held in Melbourne, Victoria and was won by the host State of Victoria for the third consecutive year.
The members of the Western Australian baseball team are (L-R):
