1979Two cricket score cards relating to Culham Cricket Club, showing scores for two games in 1979.
The scores have been added in pencil by hand into the mass produced scoresheet printed in green ink, divided into several sections where batsmen, bowlers, run lists and wickets can be recorded. Scores show runs & overs.
The printed title at top is "The 'C.S.W' Cricket Score-book". The sub-title is "Accepted as the official score book of the New South Wales Junior Cricket Union". The emblem at top right, made of the letters NSW JCU, is assumed to be that of the NSW Junior Cricket Union.
The score cards were printed by Collins. Bros. Stationers in Sydney.

It is unknown how this receipt came to be located in the Museum Workshops however it is assumed it was donated.
The document has previously been considered for accessioning by a curator, with CH349 marked at the top.

The value of the item considered for accession lies in its research value as a dated document relating to the life of a Toodyay organisation during the 1970s. The document is sufficiently detailed that a history of the game could be read, and is a useful as example of how a cricket match was recorded.
While the item is only of local significance, it may in the future provide some information for historical researchers.
