The Australian newspaper
Newspapers are not always accessioned into the Newcastle Gaol collection unless they contain a story relating to life in Toodyay or are an excellent example of their newspaper type. In this case, there is significance in both
categories, as the paper provides an excellent view of daily life in Western Australia in the 1920s and has a dated reference to a Toodyay family. The document is therefore considered to have research value as a dated document, and may in the future provide some information for historical researchers.
