Overview

Black and white photograph showing two Metters' foundry workers weighing molten metal. The worker on the left is operating the wheel of the metal receiver, which is tilted to allow the molten metal to run into the large ladle in the foreground. The ladle is suspended on a hook below a scale, which is on a chain running from a crane above (out of sight). The worker on the right is operating the air-driven crane from which the scale and ladle are hanging.
