Cardboard cover marbled green and yellow, with diagonal green stripes. Endpapers of blue grey paper. White paper label stuck across front cover with writing ‘Note Book No. 1. Civil Court. - 9th April - 11th June 1861. / Supreme Court - Civil Sittings./ 9th July 1861 - 4th June 1862.’

Index of case names and index of cases in alphabetical order on last page and back endpaper, handwritten in black ink. 96 pages hand numbered in black ink.
