Overview

Notebook 10 of a group of 20 containing the personal case notes of Chief Justice Archibald Paull Burt from 1861 to his death in 1879. Burt commenced duties in Perth on 29 January 1861.

On 18 June he was appointed Chief Justice of the newly created Supreme Court of Western Australia. This notebook contains case notes from criminal trials held at the Supreme Court from 5 October 1870 to 5 April 1871.

The Supreme Court sat at Perth Goal from 1861 until 1863 when it relocated to the Old Courthouse designed by Henry Reveley until November 1879
