The 1990/91 Australian Baseball League Championship was won by Western Australian team Perth Heat, who defeated the Daikyo Dolphins 3‒2 in the five-game final series. Games 1 and 2 were played at Parry Field, Perth Heat's home ground, Perth Heat winning both games. Games 3, 4 and 5 were played at Palm Meadows on the Gold Coast in Queensland, with Perth Heat winning the final game to take out the series.

This was Perth Heat's first championship win in the inaugural Australian Baseball League, which was established in 1989.
The framed photograph was donated to the Baseball WA Museum and Archives by Perth Heat's original owner, Brett Fogarty.
Of historic significance, this well-provenanced photograph records the images of Western Australian baseballers who achieved a level of excellence in their sport.
