Contextual Information

Glen Dunstan represented Western Australia as a player in the 1936 interstate tournament against Victoria, and again in the Australian Baseball Championships Claxton Shield Series in 1937 (Vice/Captain), 1938 (Vice/Captain) and 1939 (Captain/Coach).

He was WA's Team Manager in an interstate tournament against South Australia in 1946 and in the Claxton Shield Series in 1947. At the conclusion of the 1947 Series, Glen was selected in the Australian team as Team Manager.

The cap was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Glen Dunstan's family.

This cap has historic and social significance as it belonged to one of Western Australian baseball's most dedicated player, administrator, selector, manager and coach. It is in good condition with impeccable provenance.
