A nylon baby's dress from Madeira, Portugal. The fabric and style is representative of top quality babywear available in Australia in c.1950/60
The white dress has a scalloped edge to neckline and puffed sleeves. The yoke and gathered skirt are embroidered with delicate pink flowers and buds, green leaves and stems.
