KNOTTING, ARMENIAN, MATS
These two small mats each having a different design are fine examples of Armenian knotting .
Mat (a) has a six petal flower motif surrounded by a circle of peaks in the centre, a band of lines radiating outwards and a peaked scalloped edging.
Mat (b) has six circular flowers in the centre surrounded by a band of diamond shapes and an edging of the same circular flowers.
