CROCHET, BAG
c. 1940This neat little circular crocheted bag made in 1940/50s by the donor's mother, carried her bowling bowl. After WWII, supplies and materials were in short supply and many folk made their own clothes and accessories. Knitting and crochet,was a very popular pastime for women in this period.
Base of bag worked in double crochet, top part in treble crochet. Two handles in double crochet.
