Overview
A beautiful design in this charming mat, machine embroidered emulates the Irish technique of carrickmacross.
It has embroidery on net, brides and pops connecting sections of the net and the little circles on edge, ‘twirls’
in hand carrickmacross.
Attractive design with large 6 petalled flower in centre, and beyond this, pops connected with brides and beyond net embroidered scrolls. Pretty scalloped edge with circles (‘twirls’) and leaves.
Mat 2020.35 (a) had broken threads on one scallop. This was mended.
