Overview

Extremely fine hand embroidery on this small circular mat. Made of off white cotton net, the mat has a silk gauze centre (50mm diameter)embroidered in coloured cross stitch. The net is hand embroidered darning and couching, Limerick technique. The scalloped edge had fine embroidered loops, typical of Limerick embroidery.
