CUTWORK, MAT
A fine hand stitched white cutwork mat, stitched by Maude Waite (nee Gooch), a pioneer of the Gascoyne region of WA in early 20th century.
This ‘Renaissance’ cutwork mat has delicate buttonhole brides and a very fine needlelace edging.
Some of the connecting brides had broken and were mended.
