Baseball Victoria peaked cap
This dark blue baseball cap has 'BASEBALL VICTORIA' embroidered on the crown in white thread. To the left of those words is the letter 'V' and a baseballer with raised bat, also embroidered in white thread. The cap has a blue top button and six small eyelets on the crown, and a blue plastic size adjuster at the back. The underside of the peak is a grey fabric with the player's number hand-written in black felt pen. Inside the cap are a sweat band and the manufacturer's label.
This baseball cap belonged to Matthew Sheldon-Collins, a Victorian baseball legend, who played for Waverley Reds in the inaugural professional Australian Baseball League. He also played for Australia, including at the 1988 and 1996 Olympics.
