PHOTOGRAPH: HIDDLESTONE'S ELECTRICAL SHOP, DECORATED FOR ROYAL OCCASION

The image features Hiddlestone's Electrical Shop in Kings Hall, Rokeby Road decorated with a large star and crown at the top of the shop window and entrance with a string of small lights strung underneath. A Union Jack can be seen in the entrance window. The occasion may be the 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The advertising sign in the window reads: 'H. Hiddlestone Electrician and Repairs Expert Battery Service Station'

NOTE: Oral history of Cecil Hiddlestone states that The Prince of Wales passed through Subiaco by train in 1927, hence the decorations.
