PHOTOGRAPH: HIDDLESTONE'S ELECTRICAL SHOP, DECORATED FOR ROYAL OCCASION
The image features Hiddlestone's Electrical Shop in Rokeby Road decorated with a large star and crown at the top of the shop window and entrance with a string of small lights strung underneath. A Union Jack can be seen in the entrance window. The occasion may be the 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The advertising sign in the window reads: 'H. Hiddlestone Electrician and Repairs Expert Battery Service Station' NOTE: Oral history of Cec. Hiddlestone states that The Prince of Wales passed through Subiaco by train in 1927, hence the decorations.
The occasion may be the 1937 Coronation of King George VI.
