PHOTOGRAPH: MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS CIRCA 1929

The image features the Mayor, Mr Roydhouse, sitting at a desk on a platform at the back of the room. Mr Chris Luth also appears on the platform at Mr Roydhouse's left. On his right is Mr O'Keefe, as Press Representative. The Councillors, with their papers in front of them, are seated at a large semi-circular table in front of the platform, with another man at a lone desk in the centre. The head of Mr Olney can be seen at the extreme right of the image. The electric lights are on overhead, but there are candles on the table arranged at intervals. There are a number of portraits hung around the room and a clock on the back wall.
