PHOTOGRAPH (COPY): VIEW FROM KINGS HALL, FACING SOUTH, ROKEBY ROAD
1939The image gives a view of Rokeby Road facing north, which was taken from the verandah of Kings Hall. There are tram lines in the centre of the road and a few motor vehicles parked on either side. On the corner of Rokeby and Barker Roads stands the shop 'Major Butcher, Quality and Low Prices'. There is a sign above the shop next door for 'Penfold Wines'. In the distance on the right hand side, the tower of the Subiaco Hotel can be seen.
