'The White House'
c. 1925A sepia photograph of a federation style single level brick and tile house. The house is surrounded by a stone fence. Outside the front of the house is a car with a man sitting in the car. There is a young boy sitting on a horse in the yard of house and an older man holding the horse. There is a woman and a man on the verandah of the house. The road at the front of the house is dirt.
This house was the home of Alex Thomson. 'The White House' was a land mark dwelling built by Thomson during his time as a Member of Parliament for the district. It was used as residential accommodation, divided into flats c1940s-1960. It became a Function centre from c1969 known as 'Kimberley Lodge'. The street address 172 Clive Street.
