On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Wheat stack at Coyrecup Siding 1939-40".
Before the inventions of bulk handling of wheat, stacks such as these were common along the railway line. Coyrecup railway siding is in a very good wheat growing area east of Katanning on the Nyabing railway line.
