Katanning Show
1939A black and white photograph of Clydesdale horses on the main oval of the Katanning Showground. In the foreground can be seen the posts of a grandstand and a trotting track around the oval.
The Katanning Show Ground is in Pemble Street (In 2000 it was known as the Katanning Recreation Centre). The photo is taken from the wooden grandstand.

On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Katanning Show 1939".
On the back of the photograph is a stamped purple circle and inside the circle is "KOADAK PRINT".
The show ground in Pemble Street, Katanning, the Oval was used for football and other activities. After building the Recreation Centre in 1998 it was known as the 'top oval'.
