WWI era gold ring made from a circular metal band topped with a flat symbol of an equilateral cross with its legs bent at right angles, facing right. This is a millennia-old sacred symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism that represents peace and good fortune

The ring is crudely made and may be an example of trench art.
