Overview

Brussels Point de Gaze was the finest needlelace made in the 19th Century. This collar is an excellent example of the highest standard of workmanship.
The collar consists of 10 scallops in which the background is needlelace net. In the centre of each is a larger flower, 4 small floral sprays and assorted leaves. Outer edge of each scallop has a band of smaller scallops, separated by a group of 3 grouped different scallops. Neck edge is a narrow ladder stitch design.
