LACE,TAPE,COLLAR AND PATTERN
Grape leaf pattern on pale lemon fabric. .This tape lace collar with a grape leaf design was made in 1902 from the accompanying pattern.
Tape lace was a quicker and cheaper lace technique in the early 1900s. Princess tape (like a sausage) has been used to create flowers on the perimeter and bunches of grapes on the net base of the collar. Straight tape is used to create leaves and edging around the neck.
