Charles Crowther was a merchant based in Geraldton from 1871 to his death in 1894. The writer of this note was Robert Newton Waldeck, John S. Maley's brother-in-law.
The Shenton mentioned in the note would be William who died at Mt Blaze Station on 29/12/1870 aged 20.
