Overview

ceramic model of a small cottage with stone walls, galvanised iron roof, chimney to the left and verandah in front.

Historical information

This model was made by Sandy Seller (Greenough Crafts) and sold in Marg Edmunds studio at Rock of Ages Bed & Breakfast, Greenough. It represents the Catholic Presbytery that was constructed in 1900 by Mr Bennett and forms part of a small Catholic precinct in the Central Greenough Historic Settlement which includes St Peter's Church, the convent and the Catholic school. This small cottage has been home to a number of Parish Priests over the years including Monsignor John Hawes, the priest architect. The building is presently owned by the National Trust of Australia (WA).
