ARMADALE AQUATIC CENTRE NO DIVING TILE
1980A rectangular white glazed ceramic tile with a black diver behind a red circle with a diagonal line, denoting no diving. The reverse has cement attached. This tile came from the 25m pool.
The no diving plaque was removed from the Armadale Aquatic Centre before renovations were started in 2017. The Centre was opened in December 1980.

This collection of items was used at the Armadale Aquatic Centre. The Aquatic centre was opened December 1980 and was closed in 2017 to make way for the new Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre which was opened in 2019. There items were collected as they represent the important role played in the social life of the local community and what was involved for a local government in running a public pool.
