Overview

Rectangular grey plastic base with a black rubber stamp insert with text. The base has a grey cover.

Attached to the top is a light green plunger which pushes the stamp down. On the side it has text - X stamper - with a paper label on the top reading as: [Armadale A / Centr] and bottom left a small red no. N24.

Historical information

The item was acquired from the Armadale Aquatic Centre before renovations were started in 2017. The Centre was opened in December 1980.

MEDIUM
This collection of items was used at the Armadale Aquatic Centre. The Aquatic centre was opened in December 1980 and was closed in 2017 to make way for the new Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre which was opened in 2019. There items were collected as they represent the important role played in the social life of the local community and what was involved for a local government in running a public pool.
