Statement of significance

HIGH
This letter is evidence of when the Mundijong and Districts Caledonian Society changed its name to the Armadale Mundijong Caledonian Society in July 1975. It shows that the influence within the organisation had shifted away from the Mundijong area to the Armadale area. Most of the organisation's events in the 1970s and 80s were in the Armadale area. This most likely also represents a generational change within the organisation which formed in 1940. The newer members who were stepping up within the club probably had stronger links to Armadale than Mundijong.
