Overview

White rectangle paper with black text. The document is a copy of a letter from the Shire Clerk of the Armadale-Kelmscott Shire Council to Mr. Cumming, and concerns a project begun by the Armadale-Kelmscott Historical Society. The project is dependent upon records and photographs of historical events, and the Shire is inviting the Armadale Mundijong Caledonian Society to support the project. At bottom left is the signature of A.E. Rasmussen, the shire clerk.
In top left corner is a black and white version of the shire logo a stylised and A and K on a rectangle dark background with text above and under.
The letter misspells Mr. Cumming's name as 'Cummings'.

Historical information

The Armadale-Kelmscott Historical Society was working to publish a well-documented book about the district to commemorate the district's 150th anniversary in 1980. The book that was published was First Stage South by Daphne Popham.
