The invitation is to the official opening of the new Scout Hall on Townley Street, Armadale, on April 24th 1982. The hall was to be opened by Rear admiral Sir Richard Trowbridge the Governor of Western Australia.
The Armadale Scout Troop was started in 1910 with the headmaster of Armadale School Mr Schonell acting as Scoutmaster.
The sketch was attached to Mr. Cumming's invitation to the official opening of the new Scout Hall on Townley Street, Armadale, on April 24th 1982.

This map is to guide people to the opening of the 1st Armadale Scout Group Hall. The scouts have played a role in the local community and been a part of local community events since the early 1900s. The hall is an important home where the scouts can run their programs. The scouts also represent an opportunity to track the history of what some children did in the local district.
