Pratt-Solomon Shield - 'A' Grade Minor Premiers
A Western Australian Baseball League trophy. The 'Pratt-Solomon Shield' is shield-shape, made of oak-coloured wood, with silver mounts. It is mounted on a curved wooden base with bevelled edges. Affixed at the top of the trophy is a metal silver scroll engraved with the name of the baseball league. Below the scroll is an oval-shape metal plate engraved with a year date and a 'change' to State League. In the centre of the trophy is a metal, silver, shield-shape title plate, engraved with the name of the donor/trophy name, and what the trophy was awarded for. Around the title plate are 34 smaller shield-shape, silver metal plates engraved with the year date and the name of the winning club/division.
The Pratt-Solomon Shield was awarded to the West Australian Baseball League's 'A' Grade Minor Premiers from 1971 until season 1998/99.
With the amalgamation of the West Australian Baseball League Inc. (WABL) and the Baseball Development Foundation Inc. (BDF) on 5 May 1999, Baseball WA Ltd (BWA) was formed.

The perpetual shield identifies the WABL clubs that won the 'A' Grade Minor Premiers trophy up until the League's change of name.
The trophy was passed to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Baseball WA.
This trophy commemorates a history and naming of teams that have achieved a level of excellence in baseball in Western Australia. Of social significance, it also preserves and exhibits Western Australian baseball history and heritage. It is in good condition and is well-provenanced.
