Overview

This Australian Baseball Team cap is in the Australian national colours of green and gold. The front of the crown is of green synthetic material with the letter 'A' embroidered in gold-coloured thread and two eyelets stitched with fawn thread. The back and sides of the crown is green synthetic mesh with a white and clear plastic slide adjuster for sizing. The cap visor is of yellow synthetic fabric with green cotton fabric lining. Hand-written on the lining of the visor is the name of the owner 'R. Michell'. Inside the cap is a white tag with a red letter 'S', indicating the size of the cap.

Historical information

Ray Michell was a member of Australia's national baseball team for their tour of Japan and Korea in 1979. It was one of the numerous times he represented Australia, both domestically and abroad, between 1973 and 1986.

A Western Australian, Ray Michell was inducted into the Australian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006 and was an inaugural inductee into the Baseball WA Hall of Fame in 2021.
