Overview

Sweetheart brooch made from three Indian Two Annas coins arranged horizontally. The central coin sits above the two outer coins and the overlapping areas are soldered together.
Each coin features a central inscription in bold, capital letters reading 'TWO ANNAS' and below that 'INDIA'. The bottom row of text marks the mintage year as 1896.
The text is encircled by an intricate, symmetrical floral wreath design, while the outer edges of the coins feature a fine, beaded rim pattern.
The obverse of the coins depict the crowned and robed bust of Queen Victoria facing left, surrounded by the legend 'VICTORIA EMPRESS'.
A brass pin clasp is fitted to the reverse of the brooch, but the pin is missing.
