Overview

This bookmark was designed and stitched by Guild’s founder, Rusty Walkley, as a prototype for bookmarks made by Guild members commemorating the 150th anniversary of the founding of Western Australia.

A swan, the fauna emblem of WA is worked in cross stitch at the top. Underneath the letters “WA and the dates 1829 & 1979. The ends are fringed. Fine cotton lining. It is mounted on a printed card with Guild’s emblem at top.
