STAMPED LINEN, MAT
An early 20th century Semco stamped linen mat with Australian wildflowers, with instruction for embroidery and a price tag “1/1 ½ Economic Stores”. Price tag meant value of one shilling and six pence; pre-decimal currency of 1966, and name of a department store in Perth located on corner of Hay Street and William Streets.
Printed on the bottom of the mat is “AUSTRALIAN WILD FLOWERS DESIGN No 4” and “Pure Linen” in red.
