A 1944 identification chart of Japanese First Line Airplanes,issued by authority of the AIR BOARD. It is numbered as R.A.A.F.DIAGRAM 2773. Used by members of the Armadale RSL who were involved in home defence units including a search light unit located on the western side of the railway along Forrest Road and the volunteer Air Observers Corps

Interpretive potential: One method of recognising Japanese aircraft, issued to the R.A.A.F.
Condition: Fragile, stained and torn.
The chart belonged to the Armadale RSL who's members during World War II would have used it when working as part of a series of home defence units including a search light team located near where Forrest Road crosses the railway line and Volunteers Air Observer Corps.
