BANNER SHIRE OF ARMADALE KELMSCOTT
1961 - 1979White Rectangular linen banner with red lettering [SHIRE OF/ ARMADALE KELMSCOTT]. At either end is the square red Shire of Armadale and Kelmscott logo. THe logo features a red boarder designed to look like a belt with text written at the top and bottom [SHIRE OF / ARMADALE KELMSCOTT]. In the middle is a stylised A and K that are blended together. Sewn metal eyelets in each corner of the banner.
Used by the Shire of Armadale Kelmscott at council events between 1961 and 1979. Banner features the Shire logo, this was the first time that the Council has created and used a corporate logo, a practice it continues to use today.

The banner was used by the Armadale Kelmscott Shire between 1961 and 1979. The Shire of Armadale Kelmscott was created in 1961 when the state government proclaimed that all Road Boards where to became shires and all municipalities were to become towns or cities. As the local district was still primarily classified as a rural area the Council was known as the Armadale Kelmscott Road Board. In 1979 the Shire of Armadale Kelmscott became the Town of Armadale.
